The National Collegiate Athletic Association and the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) are celebrating 75 years of March Madness by commissioning one-of-a-kind paintings celebrating each of the national championship coaches who led their teams into history. A painting honoring UNLV and Jerry Tarkanian, head coach of the 1990 NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Championship-winning Runnin' Rebels, will be unveiled this Thursday, Jan. 24, during the game against Wyoming at the Thomas & Mack Center.

Former UNLV men's golfer Jeremiah Wooding will have a tee time at the Northern Trust Open. Wooding, who was born in Orange County, Calif., and hails from Riverside, Calif., has been awarded the 2013 Northern Trust Open Exemption and will make his first career start on the PGA TOUR next month, following in the footsteps of his big brother, Joshua, who was awarded the Northern Trust Open Exemption in 2010.
