The UNLV softball team fell behind early and was never able to mount a comeback against the Colorado State Rams Sunday afternoon at Eller Media Stadium. CSU pushed out to a 9-1 lead through three innings and never looked back en route to a 10-4 victory.
The No. 24 UNLV men's golf team shot a final-round 14-over-par 298 on Sunday and finished in fourth place at the Robert Kepler Invitational, which was played at The Ohio State Univeristy Golf Club's Scarlet Course (par 71, 7,455 yards).
Sunday's game (1:00 pm) is the rubber contest between the Rebels and Rams. CSU won the first game (Friday) by a final score of 7-5 while UNLV rallied for eight unanswered runs to ultimately win, 13-12, in 10 innings Saturday.
The UNLV track & field team finished second overall with a total of 131 points at the Mondo Multi & Mid-Major Challenge in Sacramento, Calif., at Hornet Stadium this weekend. The Rebels were only 2.5 points behind first-place Fresno State (133.50) in the standings and seven ahead of third-place Sacramento State (124). The Rebels were paced by 21 top-eight finishes on the day, including Auzsane Crowe-Carter's win in the 800m and two more from the 4x100m and 4x400m relays.
The UNLV softball team scored the final eight runs in its come-from-behind 13-12 win over the Colorado State Rams in 10 innings Saturday at Eller Media Stadium. Trailing by seven runs, the Rebels mounted an impressive comeback with four runs in the fifth and two more in the sixth before Emily Haslinger hit a solo home run - her second of the game - in the seventh for the equalizer. Three innings later, Jamie DePippo stepped up with the bases loaded and drilled the game-winning hit to left field.

UNLV junior pitcher John Richy threw his third complete game of the season and fourth of his career, leading No. 17/20 UNLV baseball (25-10/13-4 Mountain West) to a 2-1 victory over San Jose State (10-25/5-12 MW) at Earl E. Wilson Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
