Erika Engstrom teaches in the UNLV department of communication studies. She does research on mass media portrayals of women, weddings, and aspects of popular culture that deal with religion. Her work centering on women and the mass media includes the book 'The Bride Factory," and "Mad Men and Working Women: Feminist Perspectives on Historical Power, Resistance, and Otherness."
